I brought 2 more Macks home yesterday. They both belonged to the company my father worked for. The company closed it's doors about 12 years ago and these two trucks sat in the shop since 2003. My father used to drive the CH. It is a 1990 with a mechanical 250 and a 5 speed. The R model is a 1989 R688ST with a 350 and a 9 speed. These are from the same company my father's Superliner is from. My father also has a 1991 CH612 from the same company. The lettering has been removed from that one though. When They are 25 years old we will start bringing them to shows. Mike

Thanks Vinny.

SM54, Thanks. My father's Superliner went to Florida once a week, was washed and put back in the garage. They lost the run and the driver in 1995 so it didn't come back out until my father bought it as a show truck in about 2004.

Leverole, I don't know where I will put them. They are sitting in front of the pole barn. They garage they were in was rented out. I sold the lowboy they had to bullhusk. They have a few junk van trailers left.

Congratulations, Mike

Where on earth are you going to put them?

Room for them in the bedroom?

Ron

Nice trucks. I dig the single axle CH. that would be perfect truck for me to pull a 3 car trailer. The color on the R is pretty unusual but i dig it. Looks like you got some cool rigs.

I love the classic look of the CH. There was (or still is) a company from maybe the Lancaster area that had CH's in that spec. I can't remember the name but they delivered building materials and I saw them a few times while delivering to Lezzer LLumber in LLLancaster.

Thanks everyone. I actually committed to buy the ch a couple years ago.but only paid for it at Christmas. They needed money so I bought the R model to keep it from getting worked. I gave them the option to buy it back at the.same price when things are going better.

Mike, How big is your building? We'll be over tomorrow after church.

The wheel horse is a 1055. The motor has been replaced. They'll get it back with the R model or sooner if they want it.

It seems crazy to think that that ch will be 25 years old in 2 years. I love the look now but I was disappointed when the company started switching over from all R models. I will try to post pictures from that era.

Delmarva Millwork from Lancaster. They are still running them.

Thanks. The name didn't ring a bell so I went on their web site and saw the DMC "house" logo. That's them for sure.

The axle forward CH's were much less common, especially as single axles, which is what made me think it was once part of the DMC fleet.

Nice trucks,Mike! Interesting powertrain in the CH.Wonder if its an EM-6 or 7? Either way,it's :bulldog1: TOUGH! I remember Weyerhauser had a similiar green on their R's,but that one looks metallic.Nice!

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT..AND WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT, A TRUCK WILL HAUL IT AWAY!!! Big John Trimble,WRVA
