At 45K miles, $1K in that condition you can't go wrong, really. Since it was a farm truck, looks like it had no salt exposure. Hope it works out for you. I think he was a cattle hauler but every time you turn around, it was buying another truck antique and parts. From what I remember, he had a lot of trucks and a lot of parts. He had had a stroke and was recovering OK.. posted later he got his CDL back. Then he got sick again, I think it was cancer that finally got him??????? He had a lot of stuff!!! Heard about 150 Macks of some description parked in the Cow Pasture behind his farm. He had more than one place he stored vehicles. Other end of the state from me, but yes he had a lot stored outside. He lives in Illinois, I don't know what ever happened to him or the truck. I sent him some stuff on JLG manlifts and an air compressor he was looking for, but it was a few year ago. This is Mike at a benefit that was put on for him a while before he passed. My Dad & I made a banzai run from NE Indiana out to spend a few hours with Mike and then drove back home. It was the last time that I got to visit with him. The picture of Mike & Me was a few years earlier when I was in the neighborhood for the celebration of life for another friend from that area. The 3rd pic is from 2011 after the South Bend ATHS show Mike came to my place & loaded up my F Model and took it home with him along with a Freedom Edition Superliner hood and some other misc parts that I had for him. Mike was a bit younger than me & he had some rough times that created some late night, long phone calls but things were going really well for him until the cancer came back. 3 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
