mack*doggie Posted March 29, 2013 Share Posted March 29, 2013 I help maintain a fleet of 20 macks various models but the ones with this problem are the granites of course. The trucks cut out at 1600 rpms under load. The trucks kick 4-1 codes and I need to know the proper way to adjust the VSS. If someone cud message me or reply it wud be greatly appreciated. turckster Posted April 13, 2013 Share Posted April 13, 2013 Screw the sensor in until it contacts the tone wheel, back off 1 complete turn and lock it down. Not too tight, the sensors will crack/break easily. Resistance of vss is 100-200 ohms btw.
