Just to let you all know I have secured the old LFSW that is in my albums.

I am well aware how much work it's going to be but any and all hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing your advice.....

how to free the brakes off would be a good start.

I am in Edinburgh.

This is the first Mack I've ever owned so its going to be an adventure

Just finishing off restoring a series 3 land rover but I am sure that is small potatoes compared to the truck.

Got to dig it out and give it a good pull with my land rover....... we will see who wins.

Edinburgh? As in Scotland? or some where over there?

By the looks of the building in the background, that is my guess

Don't think the Land rover will do much, that truck looks sunk into the ground a bit

Lots of work to be done. There has been some early Mack sheet metal on Ebay lately. On gthe site there are some vendors that can track down old mack parts. Are you doing a to the bolt show quality restoration or just a decent make it a truck again?

I am not sure how original I am going to keep it. I think it may depend on how tough it is to get parts. I would love to get it back to the way it was the day it left the factory. I think it may be worth more but now I have it I am not letting it go !just going to take it one step at a time. Will keep you posted as I go along. just need to remember to take photos as I go.
