Was talking to a friend of mine today. They came up with it on a set up that was only permitted for 130,000 I think he said and it went over the scales at 224,000.

That a good size load.If they were only permitted for 130,000 then they are f-----.I move our Cat 375 with the boom and counterweight still intacted and I tilted the scale at 210,000.My permit was only good for 200,000,down here in PA if you go over 204,000 they would make you get a supersize permit, just alot more bs and money.I left in early morning around 3am and made it to where I was going by 6am.Had only a couple of state tropers wave as they went by.By the way I had a 4 axle Mack CL700 with a 4axle talbert. We did have a 75 ton Rodgers lowboy that had 4 axles and 12-00x24 rubber that was sold to someone up in NY state.I got a call from a fellow about 3 years ago and he wanted to know if we were missing a lowboy, our lettering was showing through on the gooseneck.

That's a great video.Wish Pa would have done that when we were working.I never had a problem with the state police stopping us,they were more help then anything. It was the local police that was the problem, they go to a week long class about moving heavy load and all a sudden they knew everything there was to know about moving oversize loads.

Caught this Midwest Specialized Carrier's Pete on 11 axles with a 345 CAT at the Flying J in Effingham IL a few years

ago. Was just at dusk so it didn't turn out as good as I would have liked. Thought it looked cool sitting there though.
