EM6 285 Engine Fuel pump

Does any one have experance with the EM6 285 Fuel pump/tach drive, mine is leaking out the top seal and allowing fuel to drain back to the tanks. Called Mack and they said it was an obsolete part. I thought that was funny as I see alot of these trucks till on the road.

Anyone have one rebuilt or is there another fix altogether.

mine has the pump on the injector pump, but the tach drive is in the same place on the block, but mine is a 237 so maybe that is the difference.

Did you ever find a replacement or other work around? Im having the same issue mine is seeping fuel towards the top and leading to a no start. I was thinking about getting a different supply pump one mounted on the injection pump three bolts to mount it and rerouting the lines but Im not sure if that would work. please let me know thanks.

You can get a OEM or PAI fuel transfer pump that bolts to the pump and an adapter for the tach speedo drive
