Looking for a New used dump truck. Is 300k to 400k worth paying 60k for Grantie Tri? What questions to ask? What if they bought at auction and have no service record? If Truck is Far would you by without seeing it? Blue one is 02 quad and red one 03 Tri! Quad is cheaper but have less info! Both have same miles quad just have less power! Trying to make best choice Truckers please help!!!!!

I had 10 brand new cv713s 9 ended up having cracked frames, luckily they warranted all of them. passenger side frame rail by the motor cracks underneath and works its way up the inside of the rail.. google it or im sure other granite owners experienced this (its a common problem) also like the other member said its always a good idea to see the truck in person anyone can shine a truck up and make it look good in pictures

I just got a quote for 15 brand new Cat tri-axles with J&J 18' steel bodies on them.Price is $176,000 each.I am still waiting for Mack to get me a quote.I have asked both dealers to get me a quote for out right buy them and also for a 12.24,36 month lease. On my bid that I'm working up for a customer the contract may only be for 1 year,so leaseing them will be the right route. There will be no up front cost for the leaseing comparing to buying used trucks, also I will have no maintenance cost.If I go the route of used trucks I will have them checked out from asshole to appetite

  • 2 weeks later...

What was the frame issues! Both of these are said to be double framed!

JD is right, they had two fixes, one was a short piece of frame added to make it double frame past the engine if it wasn't cracked, the other wasto replace the whole pass side outside frame rail with an updated part if it was cracked. Remember double frames are not all the way to the front most go from the front axles rear spring hanger back.
