I am sure this will be an easy one for most of you.

Are the same gaskets used on both the "hose" end and the trailer?

The gaskets on my trailer are dry rotted but the lip is bigger in diameter than the gasket on the hose end.

I have used the same part in both locations.

Maybe doing it the wrong way? Never had a problem that I know of. Also, I have had the seal move around in the fitting somewhat. Compression of the connection makes the seal.

I have had better luck with old fashion black rubber style vs. the new style that are made red or blue urethane (or something?).

Thanks for the information. I put new blue/red poly seals with screens (like old ones) in the hose end. The trailer has the black rubber seals. I am going to try putting the same seals (blue/red) in the trailer and see what happens.

The bad thing about Arizona is the sun and heat, it destroys rubber.
