On Sunday, 28th Aug 2005, The National Road Transport Hall of Fame, situated in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, celebrated its 10th anniversary.

According to newspaper reports;

"Thousands of people lined the Stuart Highway... to watch what trucking enthusiasts have dubbed the largest transport parade in Australian history."

Up to 10,000 visitors were expected to hit town for the parade of more than 500 trucks tipped to be up to 12km (7 miles) long.

It was expected that the parade would take up to two and a half hours to finish.

As a very proud participant of that parade, I must say it was mind-blowing. Spectators lined both sides of the Highway.

There were approx 40 B Model Macks there in all their glory.

I have posted some photos in my gallery, but don't know how to place a link here.

Regards to all from Down Under.

Rod.
