Need some help as I got new rebuilt compressor from Fleet Pride several months ago but getting sludge oil in tank. I routinely drain tank after coming back from a show/gathering. It is a 1964 B 61. The engine its self uses very little oil, if any on a run. But I always was told engine oil use does not effect oil collected in the air tanks, only this is caused by bad rings in the compressor. I have drained off the tank enough to clean out older residue from replaced compressor. Any suggestions will be helpful. If it looks like I have a bad new/rebuilt compressor then I will deal with that with Fleet Pride. Thanks. Cliff

If it was as sludged up as mine, it took near a summer to get everything cleaned out. I used to get a milkshake out of the tank each trip out. It should have made some kind of noticable difference, but like said it mine have alot of oil in the lines yet.

There again, you might have a warranty claim on that rebuild pump too.
