Ok, question on the sleepers, are the ables without windows the same years as those without? Or are they maybe a larger sleeper?

the hi-rise Able with the windows was called the "Penthouse" sleeper, and I think it first became available around '86 or '87..I think it was 66",too,instead of 60".

Another question I have is were interiors pretty much the same throughout production or did aspects of them improove as the years went by?

Personally,I liked the interiors in the older ones('78 to '84) better.I liked the diamond tucked upholstery, and there was a wider choice of colors.

I like my ol Pete but I don't think there is a better looking truck than an old school superliner with nice paint and all the aluminum polished out. When I find one and start this project, I want to take my time and do a cab off restoration, that way i will be getting a "brand new" truck in a sence. One without computers, emission controls, and one I can work on without a laptop.

I just hope most parts are available. Having never owned one, I don't know what Mack's parts system is like. But hopefully with the amount of 30,40, and even 50 year old Mack's still out there doing combat, that won't be a problem.

I haven't run into too much that you can't still get,but 99% of the time,at least at my Mack dealer, they have to order it in. I've bought a lot of stuff for my Superliners off Ebay, too.
