At least with a ford or dodge you would have some chance of getting home even if you have to push it. The chevy chassis would break behind the cab and you'd be stuck......

I hear that trannys in Dodges are junk but i know 2 chevys that were the same year the trannys went bad.

unless it was a Ford with a 6.0, you might have to use Shoeleather Express to get home. looks like the waste of a really solid cab to me and R model solid cabs are getting like hens teeth

Cab looks older than an 87 to me. Has the old style air grabber on the roof vent, and has dogs on the doors. Tan dash too.

Probably a 7.3 which is the best damn engines those fords had. Cool concept but those 16" wheels are going to look a little weird with those big wheel wells

idk dads has had a new duramax every year since 2004 and never had a problem. had a 2000 F550 with a 7.3 and it was a great engine as long as it didnt have electrical issues and didnt burn up

A 7.3 power stroke is just like an ole Mack, do your homework . There hasn't been a more dependable engine put in a pickup since the 7.3 . Yes I own and drive one ,there bulletproof , kinda like the ole dm

Idk it depends on how you drive them and how often. I bought my 98 brand new still original trans and it pulls a 16' tandem trailer the past year. and only put 1 set of brakes on period. I drive it like a big truck float the gears and downshift.

That looks like its setting on a chevy frame with a chevy step side bed early 80s, maybe wrong but looks an awful lot like my two of my friends pick ups when I was in HS
