Your truck looks great.I was hoping to have my B87 done for the Gerharts All Mack show this year, but this damm surgery has me all fouled up.Won't be back working on it till Dec.at best.I would love to have a single axle B61 with a updated motor for better mpg as my daily driver.

Thanks...Im really happy with the way it turned out...It drives good and I like the tranny a TRT720 with 5.78 gears,Its a cruiser...works out to about 65/66 mph . Still have the 10:00x22s,not in to bad of shape but a bit out of round from sitting so long..Looking for some 11:00x24.5s and a few other things to finish her up.I cant thank you guys enough for all the info on this forum...Jim

haha, mine has a new pinion seal in it and still flings grease all over the inside of the frame and under the fifth wheel plate. adds character I think, kinda like an old Panhead dripping oil. think mine nees a new yolk or s speediseal . I have taken a few Mack rears apart and found two pinion seals back to back in the housing from Mack originally also. think they leaked brand new sometimes.

Congrats on the cruzin :SMOKIE-LFT:

I just changed the pinion seal on mine, http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/31740-replacing-pinion-seal-b-61/?hl=pinion

it has the part numbers and what was needed!

I wipe of the big chunks then use Dawn dish soap on the back of my cab to get the slinged grease off before I wash it. That dawn works great on the residue.

Mack Truck literate. Computer illiterate.

Looks good! I have a case of "in-transit rust proofing" going on with my truck too.Gives it that "still working" look!!

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT..AND WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT, A TRUCK WILL HAUL IT AWAY!!! Big John Trimble,WRVA
