Popular Post Reuhlz Posted August 20, 2013 Popular Post Share Posted August 20, 2013 I spent all last week on vacation up in Ontario Canada for a Massey Harris collector estate auction, and then on to a Massey Expo of North America. I ran across a few Mack trucks I thought you would enjoy. I will post some other trucks and farm tractors in other threads.DrewThe neighbor at the estate sale had three Macks. This nice 1960 B61.This Superliner with I believe an E9And a MH with the E9He was a great guy and he even gave me a ride down the road in his MH to his friend's house with another superliner.I kind of like this photoThen it was up the road for the Massey Expo with 236 Massey farm tractors, another 150 tractors of other makes, a steam engine show, and a antique car show. There was something there for everyone to enjoy.Here are two B61s used to haul some tractors to the show.Nice round tanks on this one.And a pair of older Macks.ABACThis was my favorite. The steam shovel would load the dirt in the AC (and other trucks) then drive around and up the hill, dump the dirt, and a dozer would push it back down in the hole and repeat.And last a gnarly looking Mack for loggin'. The power does not look big enough to be a 140 or 145 Wauky (F554G or F817G) I am kind of leaning towards a 501 I/H. Good looking FWD either way. The green B61and the blue B61 and the AC all are owned by Great Lakes Truck Club Members too. Talked with the owner of the blue B61 at another members open house and truck drive in last fall. I didn't get a chance to speak with the other owners of the other trucks at the Expo. Every time I went to look at their trucks nobody was around. I would have enjoyed a conversation with them.Dungannon and Paisley, I've been to both places. I'm about the half way point from there and where you are from, so if you crossed over into Canada at the Detroit / Windsor border crossing you were within a few miles from where I'm at. I like those 2 swing fender Dodges. They were probably built right here in Windsor, they built some of the class 8 trucks there right till they quit in 1975. I 'm too young to remember as I was born in 1975 but I do know a few old fellas that worked there back in the day. Chyrsler in Windsor still has a swing fender wrecker, not in use but not in bad shape that a friend of mine that works up there in that department was going to inquire about it for me, I'll have to ask him if he found out about it for me, I was kidding him about it telling him I'd gladly accept it as a charitable donation and I'd leave it original for shows.
