I'm more confused about the aluminum rim on one steer tire while the other steer tire is mounted on steel. Unless the dealer is known for selling junk, it seems like they'd at least TRY to have matching rims on the truck.

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!

I seen that set up on AG stuff too, it was to allow them to run in between the rows. Did you see it only has six bolts holding the fifth wheel on and two bolts missing from the rear suspension mounts.

AND only one fan belt

This truck is in Wynne ,AR. which about an hour & half West of Me . Eastern Arkansas has a lot of Rice fields so yes my guess is this Western R Model was set up for Agricultural work possibly in the rice fields .

as I have seen this kind of setup before on farm trucks w/ floats on the steer axle & super singles on the drives in Arkansas & Ms deltas .

& yes I agree this truck should not be exported .

I stopped and looked at that truck the other day. It's right down the road from my girlfriend's house. There's six r models and one dm there. They're all pretty rough, and it appears they all came from IL, by the lettering on the doors. The guys that have them are super nice and honest people, though.

I had a picture of a big Mack manure spreader, but I must have deleted it. Long wheelbase R model with manure spreader body and tractor type tires on the rears.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.
