Howdy, I am Don a retired career firefighter and a current member of 2 volunteer fire departments in Wisconsin. My Dad was a volunteer firefighter in Illinois on a department that ran all Macks back when he was a member. Heck, when I was a kid I thought Mack and firetruck meant the same thing and in many ways I still do!!

Anyways, one of my volly FDs bought a 1974 Mack CF pumper from a suburb of Chicago and we ran it for about 10 years. When it was time to retire it I bought it and now it rests in the garage bay of my pole barn. I have some rust repair to do to it and I need to mount the old gumball warning lights back on it. I am adding equipment to it to try and make it look like an in service ready to go pumper.

I haven't had it out much this year. Last year it was in a couple of parades and made a few trips to the grocery store and the pharmacy. I love the looks people give me when I do that!!
