The purpose of the twin intake is to allow the driver to choose between hot or cold air entering the engine. Only one pipe is used at a time.Thank you. What this is one tube connects to the intake the other is just to draw warm air from under the hoodMy bad. I didn't see that you covered that already.Good observation.
