Eastcoastdiesel Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 So, it got wrote up tonight. I'm looking around and cannot find the sending unit bad. There is plenty of oil in the beast. It has a slight knock, which leads me to believe a bearing. But until I get some input from my fellow mack attacks I don't wanna attack the truck.... Hooo boy. A little past 800k miles. staxx Posted September 20, 2013 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Oil pressure sensor is on the oil filter pedestal , Some have oil temp and pressure sensor they are rite next to each other behind your second oil filter. temp sensor takes 3/4 wrench oil 1in wrench . I would hook a external oil pressure sensor and line up and check first. Make sure the oil is not dulluted with fuel, the supply fuel pumps are bad about blowing front seal and filling oil up with fuel. Good luck. There is a good Mack shop over in Rock hill area exit 73 I think ,have a good friend/tech that works there. br549 Posted September 20, 2013 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Our 2005 CXN broke a rocker arm bolt lost some oil pressure and had a knock in it, it had the powerleash engine brake on it, but it happen around 250,000 miles. They have upgraded rocker arm bolt for them. If you have the Power leash engine brake you might ck them.
