I have recently been given some of my Grandfather's tools and equipment. One of the items I was given is his air compressor and tank. It was used daily by him from 1947 until the late 80s and then sparingly until the late 90s and then just set until I was given it. Long story-short, it is the air compressor from a Mack truck that is run by an electric motor. I would like to rebuild the compressor and set it up for use (light use). The only marking I can find on the compressor is "X2-21" and I have been told that he took the compressor out of a wrecked 1932 Mack truck. The compressor is not frozen, it just has bad oil leaks around the seals. Any information would be appreciated.
