Dinner time 13 hours in. Some of the characters I work with. We did 23 hours including having to unhook and get salt up in Wantage NJ to bring back to Ridgewood, NJ. They ran out of salt. 9 degrees F this morning.

what... No "gerbal jammer" and his brown cowboy hat??

It's about time you reappeared. I see your cousin in your Dm every storm on the Allendale crew. I almost sent Gerbal and Joe Gill home the last storm for not playing nice together. I gotta get a pic of your truck in action maybe tomorrow or Tuesday if we get this shit.

I don't think that's going to be a problem with what they are saying supposd to be a heavy February. Gerbil is not aloud back on that crew. They couldn't take him. :whistling: He says they never stop for coffee or take a dinner break. Joey didn't put the CB in the new Granite the last storm. Silence for now.

iwho said that the gerbal lol?

No Joe Gill who knows Mike Adoni. Mike told him that today. Reel the other day 18 trucks were escorted to Atlantic City from Hackensack to get one load of salt to Ridgewood.

And a question for you NJ guys... Do they just bring salt to one yard and then the individual garages go pick up their own or just when they're low they send trucks?

As reel said only when they are low and they send us to other state barns to get it. The last strom we went all the way to Wantage NJ towards High Point for one load.

oh ok. I know years ago the state trucks here use to get salt from the towns they worked in if they ran out and they would reimburse them. Now the towns use the brown molasses stuff

We've never done that. I guess they think it's cheaper to have us go out and make a round. The Ridgewood NJ salt barn is very small. They run out all the time. In fact last storm when it was so cold we just dumped it on the ground and they kept loading the salt trucks.
