Looking for a clean superliner.... I know they r out there but where?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to buy a clean Superliner. Preferably it would have aluminum wheels and not the old school mack 12 speed that is pretty much a old school super 10. I'm located in Florida and have been looking everywhere. I can find some beat up ones but not any nice ones. If anyone is selling or knows anyone that is selling a clean mack superliner please let me know. Thanks Scott.

Those r nice trucks but not great trucks. Those northern trucks are usually full of rust. This is our other truck that.... I want another to make a sister truck.

The Midwest trucks are mostly farm truck now so they should not be full of rust, as most are sheded and the condition of them is they will be in great shape or beat to death not much in the middle.

Around the middle of September there was a nice clean 88 Superliner for sale at Sterling Express on US route 6 Valparaiso, IN. the owner said it had 650,000 total miles, 100,000 miles on overhaul. has a 350 Mack, Mack transmission, newway airride, Mack 3.87 rears, aerodyne ( maybe 48-60" walk in sleeper) red & white, he said $15,000 firm. # he gave me is 219 465-8560.

Good find!! im def gonna inquire on this one. I think its a little over priced but worth a phone call.

Under $20k your not looking for a nice Superliner, your looking for a running work truck, I wouldn't sell mine for less than $30k now and its an 85 model. I sold my 84 back in 2007 for $24k and it was nice but this ones a big step up. If your serious about a "nice, clean" Superliner you need to be ready to spend closer to $30k they are going up in value if they are nice not down.

If there was a Superliner out there that looked close to yours I wouldn't mind shelling out that kind of money. if the brown one had alum wheels id jump on it. not fond of the old school wheels.

I know all you guys in here like the old school stuff. Nothing wrong with a old school Super Dog with a touch of moderness!!

I don't see where a 13 speed fuller is more modern than a Mack 12 speed. Any one can smash and grab a Fuller slop box, takes a little skill to put a Mack through the paces. If you want modern, put an automatic of some type in it, that would be cool.

I agree with you Ryan. Under $20,000 you're just after a good work truck. I had my dads for sale on here and Truckpaper for about 6 months, first off sold it to a friend verbally for $15,000 and he didnt argue on price because he has 3 already and he knew and that $15,000 wouldnt buy that much truck anywhere else but he backed out after i gave him a couple months to come up with the cash, then i put it on BMT and Truckpaper and started high at $20,000 and got tons of calls and tire kickers, then i dropped it to $15,000 and got alot more lookers, then i went down to $10,000 and everyone wanted it, I'm still getting calls about it. I sold it for $10,000 about 5 months ago got half the money down for it but he hasn't come up to get it yet. I wish he'd take it home someday, I could use the space and it's not doing it any good sitting outside here. I only let it go for that because my mom was on my case to sell it for her before my dad passed away because her and dad needed the cash for some bills. As for my Superliner I've been restoring, I probably have $25,000 invested in it if not more for fun not to mention my time, I'm not looking to get rid of it but I wouldn't even talk about it for under $30,000.
