pilgrim Posted November 8, 2013 Share Posted November 8, 2013 I'm new to all this and recently bought a 1996 CL700 logger and have transmission (18 spd MaxiTorque) problems. It often won't go into 3/4 (7/8) or will pop out. I know of a wrecked 2000 CH613 (highway truck I believe) from which I can get a very reasonably priced transmission. Both sticks look the same but does anyone know if it would be an exact fit (just bolt it right in)? Also, would there be any computer issues? Thank you. (last 6 digits are 111319).could be a13 or an 18, look a the tag on the right side of the transmission, if it's missing use the vin, but it may have been swaped out at one time, the tag is your best bet. Dirtymilkman Posted November 9, 2013 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Stick with what you have and rebuild it. You'll be money ahead to put the coin into it and do it right. The one in the CH could be just as bad too. CL's also have a shifter relocator on them because the tranny is so much further ahead. They have always been an optional trans for the CH.The 18 and the 13 are the same transmission just piped differently at the trans and the knobs are different.
