Hi, I have a 1996 Mack CL700 logger (recently purchased) and today when I went to fuel up I discovered that although the left tank was empty as per my fuel gauge but the right tank was full. The fuel was balancing out before between theses two tanks and nothing has been changed (no valves closed that were previously open). Hmmm... any ideas anyone?

Like stated before by Keg1, check the tank vent and or check to see if your cross over line has collapsed internally.

Most likely your CL sucks and returns from 1 tank. It will balance the tanks through the cross over line at the front end of the factory tanks. If the line is plugged, collapsed, or a valve at the base of the tank is faulty it wont balance. Good luck.

does the cross over have a low spot in the hose ? might have water in tanks and froze. Close valve on empty tank and remove cross over if nada check other end of hose, ether hose problems or no vent to tank.Dont forget to reopen valve
