Mack pinnacle 12/2008 cxu613

Got a road call about a dash not working. So upon further inspection with my power probe, saw fuse was blown, gave it power... Dashed smoked.

Took off speedohead and this is what I saw

Melted like what... Not a big computer chip person. He has no brake lights and I need to get him rolling.. His boss is freaking because its a Walmart load.

Any suggestions? Please someone be my knight right now :(

If you have another similar truck swap gauge panels for the nite. Now that the old panel is smoked you could try and bypass the diode on the panel to see if everything else still works , most likely there are more burned components on the panel Good luck.

east coast not my specialty either looks like board is hosed so what happens if you break the printed circuit strip? or remove shorted gauge? you wont be wrecking any thing that isn't already hosed..

That blue disc is commonly know as a capacitor. Looks like the magic smoke got let out LOL!. Doubt anything else is actually damaged in the circuit.

Glad to hear you got the truck back on the road.
