Nice bit of history, thanks for sharing it. Cool MACKS in the back ground too. Paul

F & W Mack was a top notch dealer, unfortunately they are no longer. Located in Cedar Rapids ,Iowa, their huge neon Mack sign was always a sight to look forward too. I never knew Wayne, but got to be good friends with his son,Tom. He told me his Dad used to always try to get the first truck built (serial # 1001) of a new model to sell whenever he could. He still has the porcelain Mack sign in the pic.

Do you know what that porcelain sign would be worth!

Good eye there maxidyne 237 on the old 1/2 dog on the door! Before this,I had only noticed them on early RL/RS Macks & MB's! :bulldog3:

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT..AND WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT, A TRUCK WILL HAUL IT AWAY!!! Big John Trimble,WRVA
