I have a 1993 R model with a 400 Mack. It will rev wide open then shut itself down. I checked the turbos for oil and they are clean. I thought it could be getting to much air so I replaced all of the fuel lines from the tank to the fuel pump and it is still happening. Other than the pins on the plug in to the fuel selenoid on the fuel pump being worn or having a bad connection I am at a loss for what to try next. Any Ideas.

Is this a vmac truck or mechanical? (Electronic pedal or throttle linkage?)

If the throttle is partially responsive or non responsive, the foot pedal potentiometer could be not working or became unhooked. I have had them screw up but usually it would throw a code first and then work enough to get me home

I had a bad connection in the pump harness do the same thing to my 93 CH E7 vmac 400, had a bad connection on two wires due to melting of the [plastic around the pins. This is the round Bosch style connector just to the left of the pump on the pass side of the engine.
