Im having a guy reproduce some front and rear spoke wheels for the tamiya semi trucks...he is asking me if i have a good detailed pic of a front and rear spoke assembly...besides seeing them in pictures of trucks on this site does anyone have a good exploded view or detail view of a spoke wheel .

My other question....we're spoke size different if you had a 22.5" rim vs a 24.5...

I'm not real info savy with spokes and their diffrence in size...if I'm having the guy make these so i want it to look correct and make it so all the standard tamiya tires will fit the rim...

Thanks for your help.

The spokes for 22 and 24 are definitely different.

As far as I know (I was told on here, not many other sources for me) 22.5 and 24.5 rims fits in place of 22 and 24.

I also ordered 3D design of the spoke hubs although earlier version than you need.

Designer made the work partly but I wait it done above 2 years yet...

Excellent models, Vlad!

20" tube-type and 22.5" tubeless are the same size ("small spider").

22" tube-type and 24.5" tubeless are the same size ("large spider").

Whole number sizes are tube-type.

1/2" sizes are tubeless.

Don't forget about 20 inches.

Haven't heard about 20.5's though.

Just pictures is not the way to go for a correct and detailed 3D model.

You should make many pictures of a real part fixing it in the front/side projection and make at least general drowing with the most basik measurements.

That way you'll make designer's life much easier and more and more important increase the final product's quality paying the same $$.

Vlad that's a very good start. Do you have these in a cad drawing?....Are the 6 spokes for heavy rears? I know 5 spokes are considered standard rear...

Thank you!

I actually have them not but they exist.

I ordered full 3D modelling of Mack bogie making measurments off my '45 truck.

This arrangement could be used for heavy L's, B's and some different models with 24 spokes.

I planned also to modify 24 into 22 and extend the selection.

Although the life is going much slower then we want sometimes.

I put the order to the local scale-building company and try estimated it as not a toy work.

I agreed depending on the working time required, about 15 days on my mind.

Then they had a good start that followed long-time bla-bla-bla and so on.

They were pre-payed by the word.

There was not just the order of 3D model although they must to realize it in 1:24 by milling machine (original plan) or 3D printing.

I keep hopes for the future and if I have anything I can put in my hand I'll inform the community for shure.
