richard-b61 Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Hey guys, I'm restoring a 1961 B61 and will eventully need to do some work on the floor boards. I know the center floor boards are removable, but since this is my first restoration, I wasn't sure if the 2 outside floor baords next to the doors are removable or are welded in place. The rest is welded in solid.I added a piece of 1" sq tubing to support the front seat brackets. Since I could not put any rolls in the metal to make it more rigid.I put the floor back in with three pieces, kinda like the factory did. Plus I had to be able to slip them around under the lip for the removable panel. I remade that lip also.Looks factory fresh enough for me. 3 Quote Larry 1959 B61 Liv'n Large...................... It looks like there is very little clearance between it and the cross support. Even if you remove the shifter towers, I don't think there is enough room to raise the lids and get the shift forks out without running into the bottom of the floor.
