One was every time my wife comes in she opens the door into the stop and shakes the whole house. Using the Red Greene / Tim Allen approach my peanut brain figured a loud noise would stop the door problem....So duct tape a air horn to the rubber stop.... Simple and effective...... Poof! another idea shot to crap. RowdyRebel Posted February 16, 2014 Share Posted February 16, 2014 ...since ya gots a hole ta patch anyways, cut the hole a little bigger...square it off so you can patch it easier. Use a scrap piece of 2x4 and run it horizontally between the 2 studs so that the door stop is in front of a solid piece of wall. Patch the hole, and try again with the air horn...this time it'll have a solid backstop. 1 Quote When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!
