Can any one tell me how late Mack used wood in the cab frames on the 505 models? The previous owner thought the truck was a late 30's, I am thinking mid to late 40's. I'll try and put some pictures of my truck up, I thought I had them on my camera but can't seem to find them. I did get a picture of the grill on my avatar.

Too surprizingly strange, I saw them more just a couple minutes back.

Just looks like I stolled them.

Nice truck! I would suggest you contact the Mack Museum with your serial number and they can supply you with the build information on the truck. They are fantastic and they do it simply for a donation.
