If there's anything that looks like it means business it's a DM 800, and that big bumper doesn't hurt either. Big single airhorn, too. That gizmo on the driver's side fender just adds to the general panache. Who needs twin stovepipe stacks? I hope you end up with that big ol' fella.

Guys, thanks for the info! I already have a DMM686 (or 685, cant remember off the top of my head) and it is a monster winch truck/semi tractor. I mechanic on pipeline jobs so I find lots of cool treasures. My problem is I have already bought too many of them and I am about out of room. I will work a price out with this guy soon and if I cant get it, I will surely give you all a heads up.

I dont have the means to get the photo that I want in my profile box but I hope to soon.

This is a great forum and I am enjoying reading along. Hope I can contribute more soon.

Btw, this truck is in Elk City OK.

The engine tag says mfg date 8-1977 on it. Some swapping has taken place. The original 711 must have been damaged and they took it out.

Check the timing case in front of the injection pump to see what it has for numbers to identify or see if you can clean the tag up some more.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

It may still have a 711 in it. The Mack replacement engine date is newer than the truck build date.

I think the early 711 had the large head bolts in the corners and this one looks to be the same.

My "eyeometer" may be off though.
