james j neiweem Posted April 1, 2014 Share Posted April 1, 2014 Vlad: Roadway had a ton of detroits in U-Models I believe both V-8's and V-6' The cab had to be raised because the detoit V's were not 90 degree V's like the cummins 903's. I believe they were abot 60 degrees making there profile higher. Couple this with the supercharger on top of the engine thus you needed a higher cab.
