Dale Hamilton Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 There must be a spring in the outside door handle that returns the handle to the flat horizontal position after you release it- so that it does not flop. Barry Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 Dale, the return spring is actually part of the latch mechanism inside the door. There is a clock spring inside there that keeps the handle in the right position.
