There is an spray can application called Gravel Guard. It's clear and can be sprayed over the color coat. Most other applications of chip protection are meant to be sprayed one and than color coated to blend in. For the outside of the fenders only.

SEM, Silkins, and Dupont also make their own form of stone/ gravel guard.

here is the link, type in search for "Gravel Guard" http://www.tcpglobal.com/restorationshop/

other than making metal fender liners I think the bed liner is probably your best bet just my .02 worth

For the inside of the fender none better than bed liner!!

My trucks run gravel roads. What I did on the last new hood was use Bedliner with Kevlar. I bought it by the gallon and put on 4 coats letting them dry about 8 hours in between. Don't spray it on, use a brush to apply for thickness. My hood has not had spiders in the paint yet. Its been 5 years.

I agree with what everyone else has said, but personally I have had good luck spraying rubberized undercoating on the insides of the fenders, pretty cheap, with good results.......................................Mark
