The controll spool valve on the RH/s is a right pain when they get some wear in them. Never liked the idea , steering was always too vague. Replaced them with Shepperd box's. Rob Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 The controll spool valve on the RH/s is a right pain when they get some wear in them.Definately a pain in the ass when the control valve got a little internal slop. It only takes about .015 movement either side of/from dead center of the spool valve to route fluid internally for power assist to the steering cylinder.I've rebuilt several in years past, (parts were readily available 25 years ago) but don't know if it is feasible now.Rob Quote Plodding along with no job nor practical application for my existence, but still trying to fix what's broke.
