C-600 Mack Cab info

I noticed a C-600 for sale today in another forum. could somebody shed some light on the "c" version. I was wondering what type cab was used, and what it was primarily designed for. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Phil

To the best of my knowledge and someone correct me if I'm wrong here but the C series was it's own cab and was only used for fire trucks

Hes probably talking about the other C-model. Short stub nosed one.

The cab on the C model was a modified version of the L model cab.

Don't feel too bad, the "L" model cab and the "H" model cab shared the same doors!!

The C model was developed to get a short BBC (bumper to back of cab) dimension as short as possible to use longer trailers and stay legal where some states were trying to keep truck trailer unit length restricted.

The C model was only built for a couple of years as the U model Mack was introduced to fill the need.
