Popular Post Superdog Posted July 16, 2014 Popular Post Share Posted July 16, 2014 OK,I know it ain't a Mack,and truthfully I really don't know why I bought it,but it's finally home,it does run if you pull it,haven't got into getting batteries in it yet. It has a 1979 Big Cam 290 Cummins,so that's a big plus.I need a set of good hubcaps for the front axle,one is almost rusted to nothing,the right one is cracked and not the best.also looking for either a set of Autocar or White bubble back mirrors,just like the Mack ones.Can anyone identify this suspension,it's a Mack clone for sure. 7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

yarnall Posted July 16, 2014 Share Posted July 16, 2014 Hub caps are nearly impossible to find. I found an NOS set at Macungie in 2009. They went on my C90. I am still looking for a set for my DC75. I had someone from Autocar call me looking for them for a truck they were restoring because he heard I found some. Good luck. I love Autocars too. They were made about 20 miles from my house. Sure is a funny feeling looking out front and not seeing a Bulldog,so I see a hood ornament in this trucks future if it sticks around. Old girl does run good,drives good too considering the condition of the tires. air asist steering seems to work good but its coming off if I keep it. Seems to be geared for good highway speed,I was running 50 mph in hi side of 4th For some reason the transmission is stuck in hi range broke air line I'm guessing. 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
