Saw this on the internet this morning. Another barn find in Nebraska. Not as impressive as the first one (new/low mileage vehicles) but interesting anyway.

Wouldn't mind the Challenger R/T following me home

Those were the days, could have bought a Super Bird form Gran Prix Auto Sales in 1970 for $2495.00 or a 1968 GTO Convertible Brown white top and interior 3 speed stick for $1850.00. I bought a 1966 El Camino 396/ 4 speed for $1400.00 Traded it in for a 71 340 Duster, got $525.00 for trade in. Can't touch any of them 340 included for less than a kings ransom. Heck Motion was selling Phase III Giant Killer 454 Vegas for under $4000.00 in 1971.

Paul,

A dealer told me many years ago, in 1970 he had a bunch of Super Birds that he could not sell. No one wanted to buy one because of the "odd" looks. Imagine that. I remember the first Bird I saw in 1970. It was white and a HOT looking female wearing a mini skirt was driving it. Left a lasting impression on a kid just out of high school (the car and babe both).

Syosset Chrysler Plymouth had 3 in the back lot for quite a few years, couldn't give them away.I friend bought one for dealer cost and converted it to a GTX. Tossed all the aero stuff in the dumpster. Heck I ran a mint 1956 Pontiac Safari Wagon in the Demo Derby at Islip Speedway, it wasn't a Nomad so who cared If we only knew . . .

I wish I still had my 1973 Duster 340, 1970 Superbird 440+6, 1970 Road Runner 383, 1975 Chrysler Cordoba 360, 1973 Cuda 340, 1976 Volare 360, 1975 Monza 2+2 262, 1974 Road Runner GTX 440, 2-1979 Mustang Pace Cars 5.0L, and the list goes on. I often said "I wish I had the money I have now (well 3 or 4 years ago) and it was 1970.....I would have a STABLE of cars and trucks".
