I'm kicking around some ideas for our '82 cruiseliner. I thinking about possibly putting in another newer and bigger motor or doing something with the CPL and other things on the big cam 300 cummins. I was wondering if anyone knew of a part number or source for a chassis mounted charge air cooler. I've believe they were offered when built but haven't seen them in person.

You are correct. I've been told but never seen it in person that a N14 intake can be used in place of the after cooler on the side of engine which is one reason I'm wondering about the chassis mount charge air cooler. The other reason is for doing a swap/conversion, since I have cheap access to a red top n14 and a series 60 Detroit DDEC3. There is a local place and one in Arizona that makes up any engine harness to match the truck. Either case I want to have a chassis mount charge air cooler.
