hey gang.

i am about to replace the oil cooler in my 96 mr688s truck. it has the e7 300 engine non electronic.

i changed my tranny cooler a few months ago and would like to replace the oil cooler also just for piece of mind and easier now with nice temps.

my question is.

do i need to drop the oil?

any tips on replacing the cooler?

also in the pic i believe the cooler is located inside the long cylinde just below the filter and above the alternator.

Why?-no issues? don't create one

shouldn't need to drop the oil, but there will be some in the cooler

yep, that is the cooler

make sure you have all the gaskets needed

Success is only a stones throw away.................................................................for a Palestinian

thanks.

no issues the one reason i wish to change it is my tranny cooler was leaking for some time. i replaced that and flushed the sytem. i just thought maybe my engine oil cooler may be gummed up and should also be replaced.

thanks
