I have an 04 E7 with 400K on it with a rebuilt injection pump and new injectors. I don't work the truck so it may sit for 6 weeks between starts but has the problem even when working daily.

After sitting for more than a day or two it takes a bit before it starts and runs horribly for the first couple of minutes. It smokes at idle until warmup then clears up and then only smokes if you accelerate and try to hold any steady rpm or take it to max rpm and hold it there. I bought the truck like this so I really don't have any trustworthy history about it. Any help would be appreciated.
