dblew Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Hi all,Just signed up here hoping for some help. I bought this truck as a yard truck, he is affectionately named "mater". I think he's a 1956 B-model...but that's where my knowledge about him ends. He starts flawlessly, runs, drives. Has a split-shift transmission. Has two batteries, 8 tires, is diesel and is a dump truck. I had a heavy equipment mechanic do some maintenance on him (change some fluids, work on the piston and fix a tire). I really don't see me using him anymore and would like him to go to a NICE home (please not scrap!). But I have no idea how to list him, or what to ask for him. We are located in Massachusetts. Someone in New Hampshire was interested but I have a feeling they have changed their minds. j hancock Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Looks like a B-61. On the right side pass. frame rail on the frame side will be the serial number for the truck. Having an identity is a good first step!Here is the (interior) frame pics. I read that the 2" oak was for trucks 'meant' for rip rap?! Not sure if that's true but alas 'Mater does have the oak rail. Really, NOTHING in the way of rust on the frame.
