Hello everyone. I am new to this blog and so far you all sound like you know your stuff. I got to this site because I am looking for a specific model of a Mack truck that I sold so I could finish college 45 years ago. My truck was a 1951 LJ Mack sleeper cab (factory), powered by the original 200 cummins with a single disc pump (yes, it ran off with me only once). Does anyone have any information on a truck with these specs (or otherwise)? I am retired now and would like to find a piece of the history that I love so much, and helped to make me the man I am today. Thanks for looking guys!

LJ brochures show up on ebay. I have a LJ brochure but at the moment my scanner is not being user friendly. The standard engine was the Mack 707 Thermodyne but optional was the Cummins NHB-600 with 200HP.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

wow that thing is in good shape...bob

Thanks. Pictures always make trucks look better. The right fender is pretty banged up and the radiator shell. I could use a better radiator shell if anyone knows where there is one. It has a good bit of rust but no holes. Mike

Nope, not running yet. My mechanic has parts ordered for the fuel pump. He seems to think that is all it will need. He told me it would be ready for Mack Day. I don't believe him. I am meeting Leon and Rene from the Netherlands there tomorrow. I will let you know his progress. Mike
