FJH, I didn’t have anybody to help me check what I did do was look at it with the engine off and with the engine running so off it was the stroke was up and on the stroke was down all the way bottomed out fully extended, and I’m assuming you’re talking about the actuator on the turbo side that has the metal braided line that runs across the motor into it airline and I took the line off and started it and thumbed it actuator went up and down. I will see when I get up here and stopped if one of these other drivers will look at that actuator while I turn the key off and on, I appreciate you guys going above and beyond on this there have been a couple of blogs that I’ve gotten on to try to make sense of all of it and it seemed all they wanted to do was give people a hard time and didn’t know what they were doing  appreciate it fellas

Ok So Get the engine warmed up to temp! If you have a Boost gauge! Watch the boost! Rev the engine to max rpm! And feather it back and forth drop back 300- 500 rpm  and back up  to max top rpm do this half a dozen times  see what kind of boost it generates! It should make around 15-20 psi just sitting there doing this! if so If its working as it should! It should sound like a kirby vacuam cleaner While you do this!🤣

No boost gauge so I’ll have to either put one in it or find somebody that can watch that actuator and see if it’s going in and out. I wish I knew how many I was running a boost though that would help a lot aftermarket boost gauge shouldn’t be hard to come by I think I found the VGT it’s down inside the frame rail, kinda up by the steering box between the oil filters and the steering box I think that’s what it is anyway it’s covered in so much shit that need to spray everything down

Copilot I believe! Is there no screen in it? Is there no boost gauge to your left in the gauge cluster there? If that had a screen you would have had an option to look at boost oil pressure and some other vitals . Mpg ect!

Inside frame rail between oil filters and gearbox

U under the ecm right

It was behind the oil filters on the driver's side of the engine block on the CXU in our shop. I can only imagine it would be the same for yours. It's a very shallow but wide filter. Looks like the below.

It’s probably covered in dirt and oil .

Probably and it maybe stuck open! If it’s stuck open it won’t let the turbo spool up!
