I'd love to pick that guys brain and see what he did for front springs and hangers. The hood would be simple, just extend a set forward hood

If it's a CL,all you would need is the same springs and hangers from a Superliner II. The CL was based on the Superliner chassis.

It belongs to Dickson trucking out of stafford ks. The family also farms and they used to run black ch's with aluminum grain beds always shinny and clean. They bought the cl and did the work themselves I believe. Made it an axel forward and they used two hood to make one. As far as specifics I don't know I used to see the truck at my grandpas shop but I don't see it very often anymore.

Yeah that's custom folks, take a good side view of a ch set forward, not even close.

Superliner II andMH springs and hangers are the same and both will bolt in place under a CL.. RW MH and CL are built on the same frame assembly CL just uses a longer spring and front hanger. If you look close on most CL's the holes are already punched in the frame rails to bolt Superliner and MH front assemblies under them. The stretching of the hood would be more work than changing the front end. So it really wouldn't be that big of a deal to do a forward axle CL conversion. I think finding a good cheap CL with an E9 for an affordable project is probably the toughest part.

I WANT ONE!

I'd love to do that, I think I'd have to slide the battery boxes and tanks forward so they looked like the superliners though. Anybody got a V8 powered CL613 for cheap?
