I know this is a sore subject to us Mack guys, but I want to talk about exporting. Why us? Why send all these workhorses over seas when there are so many other options. I wouldn't necessarily send any Peterbilt or KW of any condition over there, but if you look on all the truckpaper-type sites, we are completely over run by Freightliners, Volvos and Internationals... I dont' know all the proper model numbers for these trucks, but why not send over some of the FLD120s? You can find them under any rock and pick them up for a song and dance... I just don't get it... If anyone could explain to me why all these perfectly good R's and DM's are being sent out, I'd probably still disagree, but some clarity would be nice...

Being in the process of getting your CDL's is like sitting on death row...

Parts availability and toughness. Camelback suspension holds up better on poorly developed roads. I asked an exporter I sold my R hood to. That's exactly what he told me.

price and parts its pretty simple we have bucket loads of R models and super liners and to buy parts from Mack Australia is like selling an arm and a leg so if importers can bring in whole trucks they get a bucket load of parts make a squillion and even the truck owners are happy because its cheaper than buying from Mack with out the smart ass answer from the spare parts person about some peace of old crap and the sales guy trying to flog you a new VolMack"O" piece of snot and these older Macks are tuff I mean real tuff theres no computers to let you down out the back of bum f--k and most blokes like these old trucks because they will pull all day every day day in day out and they just wont let you down OOP's Im getting off topic  but I like these older trucks for real work and I guess as well as they were built they still need parts

So easy way to fix the problem Mack need to start making real trucks again with motors with balls and well I guess then silly buggers like me might buy a fresh one maybe ????

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THEY MUST BE GETTING A RETURN WITH ''MACK'' BECAUSE THE BUYERS WANT THEM!!! THE F'ING R MODEL IN ALL IT'S VARIANTS DIDN'T HAVE A PRODUCTION OF 40 YEARS BY ACCIDENT!!! LIKE ALL MACKS BEFORE IT THEY ARE AS TOUGH, TOUGHER THAN ANYTHING OUT THERE!!! IF THERE IS A BRIGHT SIDE TO ALL THIS, AT LEAST THEY'RE STILL WORKING!!! PROBABLY ABUSED, BUT DOING WHAT THEY DO BEST!!! MY TWO BOB'S WORTH, MICK :P

P.S. BETTER TO BE WORKING THAN MADE INTO SCRAP!!! :o
