I bought a used steel dump body from a junk yard to replace the original penn dump body which was really beat. The Rockwell Suspension was popular in the Northeast.Just about every truck maker used it that I know of.It looks like you have 55,000 pound rears.The ones that were in military trucks is about same design but much lighter weight rating. Almost done need to finish details( tarp, lettering, etc) and one big project... the suspension. it is walking pretty bad. I took it to a spring shop recommended by a couple friends And they gave me an estimate of $9000 to rebush. I going to do it myself. If anyone knows of reasonable parts source for these i would be happy to hear about it. i could also use a parts breakdown/ literature as the local brockway dealer isn't too helpful. rears are sudd. Try Stengel Brothers in Allentown. Very reputable. I send my firetrucks there whenever we have any kind of suspension/spring concerns. Excellent work and a quick turnaround. I think the problem with using a spring shop for something like this is that they like to go in and torch everything out and replace. It makes for a faster and easier job and works ok on Mack and Hendrickson. But these Rockwell parts prices are ridiculous. Each torque rod is held in by a tapered pin. pins are 300-500 dollars each. The parts estimate was 5200. I' am going to see if i can take this apart carefully and reuse as much as possible. Probably the smartest move... but i' am stubborn and am going to try and fix it first. If i go this route i will roll a set of 46k or 52k camelback under there.
