Morrissey (a big Philadelphia area contractor) Mack Titan with an old Euclid on the deck. Coincidentally a facebook friend saw it, and as it turns out one of his buddies had purchased it.Saw this lovely 1948 Ward Lafrance firetruck that was originally delivered new to the Bryn Athyn Fire Company (Montgomery County Pa.) Had a 140GZ Waukesha (F554G) You probably shaved with this truck last week.I made dinner for a beautiful girl a fraction of my age. She liked my food so much she couldn't control herself and had it all over her.I saw this vintage 1971 Lambert snowthrower almost get runt over by a vintage 1958 FWD. Luckily I stopped the guy in time.I saw this guy hitchhiking. Even though he looked like an axe murderer I felt sorry for him standing at the side of the road so I picked him up.I offered to get the guy a bite to eat so we stopped. He was talking to someone one his phone, it was kind of muffled, but I remember distinctly hearing the other voice say "Mini Mack." Thats when axe murderer got this crazed look in his eyes and he got up and started mumbling "sloooooooowly I turned.......inchhhhhh by inchhhhhh.....step by step............."Then I saw this girl. She offered to wash and wax the FWD. I told her to look at what she did to the bumper on that GMC and that she couldn't go near the FWD. I saw this picture of some kid when he was about 10 or 11 years old standing in front of a Jevic Freightliner. They had 3406B 450's with 18 speed Roadrangers. The kid's dad took him on a Texas run in this particular truck pulling a 48 footer with tastykakes out of Philly- bunch of stops in Nashville/Knoxville, Huntsville/Mobile and emptied out in Dallas/Ft Worth. The kid remembers it like it was yesterday. One of his first really "long" trips. I would never had guessed they had 18 speeds.You could've showed some compassion and found something for the GMC girl to wax. I would never had guessed they had 18 speeds.That particular order of cabover freightliners had 18's....Then a few years later the first batch of Freightliner conventionals with the setback steers had the same setup. I think those were the only two orders in the entire history of the company that had 18's.
