Thanks to wise guidance I received from youse (central pa for "you all"), I ordered the rebuild kit for my AD-4...

After removal I gave it a bath (I HATE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CLEANERS!!! GIVE ME SOME PETROLEUM BASED SOLVENT!) Anyway, I digress...

Once I got it apart it was not hard to figure out the issue...the check valve had its check missing! It was an orifice!

The bracket was cracked at both mounts so I fixed that up...also used large doublers to prevent reoccurance!

Everything back together and it works like a champ! My compressor actually shuts off until cut in pressure! The dryer was like this when I got the truck...it is a wonder I didnt wear the compressor out!

Lesson here...if your compressor cycles constantly, and you replace the governer to no avail, it is most likely the check valve in the dryer draining the wet tank!!!
