Superdog Posted December 11, 2014 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Did they start with 1001 for each individual model on the '81 on up Macks that have these modern VIN #'s like they did with the old system,or did they start with 0001? I always assumed,which I know you shouldn't do,that they did start with 1001. Can anyone confirm this? Main reason I'm asking is I located a '85 RW612 and the last 4 numbers is 1001,which I would guess to be 1st one off the line. That mean a few hundred have been made before the special edition. This RW612 I found on CL is no longer a single axle,but looked to be in nice shape.
